What is Aghabani ?
“Al-Aghbani” is a traditional Syrian embroidered fabric decorated with elegant motifs inspired by Middle Eastern plants. Syrian craftsmen have made these handicrafts for centuries, using ancient methods, and they are used to make tablecloths, clothes, pillows and other decorative items.
Al-Aghbani works in a variety of craftsmen, which includes males and females in different places, according to the manufacturing stage entrusted to each of them. The most important stage is embroidery and is carried out by women in some rural areas of Damascus
